Reflecting . . .

This week we began our Lenten journey and I have been drawn to the thought of reading the Rule of St Benedict.  Actually, I got no further than the first word!  It was this:

        Listen

Listen.  What an amazing and challenging word!!  I was struck by its richness and beauty, how difficult it is to achieve, and how awesome are the blessings when we take it into our heart.

Will you join me today in meditating on this beautiful word and see where it takes you?

Blessings,
Ros

House Ornament Swap

Kirsty from Four Happy Violets organised this pretty House Ornament Swap using a pattern from Retro Mama.

My partner Angie sent me this beautiful stitched little cottage

with a little embroidered message on the reverse.

And some truly tasty chocolates, from Germany and the US.  I just loved the raspberry soft centre, oh and the caramel too!  Thank you Angie for your kindness.

and my little cottage to Angie with some embroidered flower tubs on the reverse.

Thank you Kirsty for organising this swap - I thoroughly enjoyed spending a thoughtful afternoon making this little house.

Sorry I've been absent for a while - my head has been all over the place and my creativity fell into a black hole.  The British weather has suddenly changed into a bright, but still quite chilly, spring-like few days.  Oh, we all needed that!  I'm starting to feel like my old self again.  Thank you all for your kind messages xxx

Blog Love Swap

My partner for the Blog Love Swap was Pj from The Snail Garden.

What a beautiful package I received, with such lovingly chosen gifts.  Thank you Pj!

A lovely soft and fragrant knitted heart filled with home-grown lavender and pretty crocheted broach.

Amazing heart chocolates and scented candle.

Some seeds for the garden, and the bath!!

Fabric and heart stickers.  So pretty!

And my gifts to Pj.

Chocolates, thread, lavender heart, sweet peas, ribbons, drawer sachet, suitcase tag and a Morsbag.

Thank you Gem for organising such a lovely swap!
