Festival of Quilts 2012

What a wonderful day I had on Saturday, with a visit to the Festival of Quilts at the NEC in Birmingham and a chance to catch up with some of my quilting friends later in the day.

One day is not long enough to view the vast array of talent, so here is a selection of the quilts I did manage to view in those few hours.  Photos had to be taken swiftly to avoid assorted body parts being included, so I apologise for the occasional blurry image.  The photos (below) may take a moment or so to load up and I hope you enjoy the show.  You can double-click on the box to get a bigger image or to view at your own pace.

  1. Wasn't it fabulous, I was just in awe of the amazing work on display. I would have liked two full days to take it all in, but my purse might not agree :0) x

  3. Thanks for the slideshow Ros. It is always interesting to find that other people find things that I either didn't see or didn't notice. Sorry to have missed you.

  6. Loved the show, and loved your slide-show! You've photographed some I missed - how did I miss them - and I was there 2 days too! It is all just too over-whelming but such a wonderful amount of talent.

  8. Thanks so much for the slideshow. I so enjoy looking at pictures from shows I'm unable to attend ( which is most of them, alas.). Your presentation was excellent - was it Picassa? Many people on one of my lists are singing it's praises!
